Kids Summer Camp 2012

Back

"Gnani Ni Chhaya Ma" (GNC) of the Dada Bhagwan Foundation had organized a Summer Camp for kids aged between 7 to 12 years, during April - May 2012, in various cities across India.

The main goal of this camp is to sow some good values of life in the children using the "Learning with Fun" method.

The children were divided into two groups: Group A (7-9 Years) and Group B (10-12 years).

Topics for Group A were "Kitta Buchha", "Effects of Telling lies", "Asking for Forgiveness and Forgiving Others." Several interactive activities were incorporated such as making "Damru "(power Drum), Wind Chimes and not to forget their favorite activity - DRAWING.

Topics for Group B were "How to Resolve Conflict", "Asking for Forgiveness and Forgiving Others" and "Chit" (What is chit? How it functions? How it is fractured? How to improve concentration?). Children enjoyed doing creative activities like "Best out of Waste" and performing a skit on the topic "How to Resolve Conflict."

The topics were introduced to kids through various mediums - Skits, Storytelling, Power Point Presentations, Movie or Cartoon clips etc.

Children from both groups were introduced to Simandhar Swami as the 'Vartaman' (current living) Tirthankar, and they showed their devotion to Dada Bhagwan & Simandhar Swami by offering prayers, doing prakshal and pooja.

Getting a return gift at the end of the camp, added to the resounding happiness that the children were already experiencing.

Jai Sat Chit Anand.
